I recently heard about Penny Arcade's event called Child's Play. This is where a bunch of video gamers come together to play some games...and they do it to raise money for kids in hospitals. They have raised over 2 million dollars in funds, and have had over 4 million dollars worth of donations in games, toys, and books for these sick kids.
My question is...who would have ever thought that the gaming community (people like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory) would have such a big impact?
We look at Penny Arcade's Childs Play because it is a great example of people being creative. They do not have to go door to door or have big charity ball's in order to raise money. Instead, they just do what they love and help others do the same.
A bunch of video gamers made a difference in thousands of kids lives. Moral of the story...You do not have to be a celebrity or a millionaire to make a difference.
Just get creative
Wow, this is crazy!!! I could totally imagine Sheldon getting everyone together from the Big Bang Crew and doing this
